When visiting Spain, we feel that a visit to Tangiers makes a very interesting and different sort of trip. It is perfectly safe provided you are sensible. If you are interested but have not been before, then why not try one of our day trips to Tangiers? You will be looked after throughout your stay by an official guide. Tthe coach trip is ideal if you do not have a car otherwise the self-drive options from tarifa offer better value for money and more flexibility on day and time.
Booking your trip through us is easy....
On holiday, it can be quite difficult to find a printer to print out your tickets, so we make things easier for you by sending all required instructions and confirmations by text message to your mobile phone (of course also by email). The Tangiers Experience
A day trip to Morocco by private coach with tour guide collecting from costal locations along the Costa del Sol
Adults € 79 Children € 61 (EVERY TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAY)
You will be collected early morning by coach from many pick-up points along the Costa del Sol from Mijas Costa, Marbella, Puerto Banus, San Pedro, Estepona, Casares Costa, Duquessa, Hacienda Guadaloupe, Torrequadiaro, and San Roque (closest point for Gibraltar collections but still quite a drive away) and then you take by fast ferry across the straits of Gibraltar from Tarifa to Tangiers (crossing time 35 minutes). Once you have arrived in Tangiers, you will be taken by private coach for a tour of the Caves of Hercules. After this you will have a typical Moroccan lunch (which includes live music and belly dancing). After lunch you’ll head to Tangiers main town centre and you will be given a guided tour through the labyrinth of narrow streets that make up the Kasbah (fortress), the Medina which is the old part of the town and also the Souk which is where all the shops and markets are. You will later be taken to meet an herbalist who will give you a brief demonstration of popular herbal remedies that are widely used in Morocco. You may also have time for a visit to a carpet shop where they will explain the differences of the types of carpet and quality.You will then have some time for shopping before returning to the boat for the trip back to Tarifa and then back on the coach to be returned to your pick-up point on the Costa del Sol. Altogether a pleasurable and interesting day trip without the need to take a car.
To give you an idea of times, if you are collected from Estepona around 7am you will be back normally by back in Estepona around 6pm. We will give you the exact collection time and approximate return time when you book the trip.
When you book this trip you MUST provide us with the full names (as shown in passports), the passport number, passport expiry date and nationality of each member of your party. This is so that the visas can be pre-arranged for you the day before. To reserve you places on the coach, please click on the "book this Excursion" button. You will be requested to pay a small deposit by credit card and the balance will then be payable in Euros cash to the tour guide that you meet on the coach.

Two day trip to Tangiers (self-drive)
The one day tour (above) plus overnight hotel stay with return the following day (includes diner and breakfast)

This is the Tangier day tour as described above but with an overnight stay in a hotel. For this trip you enjoy the Tangier day tour as normal but then you stay in a 3*** hotel for evening diner and also breakfast the next morning. This would give you time to explore Tangiers in the evening and to spend a free day in Tangiers before catching the 7pm ferry's back to Tarifa. You are welcome to catch any of the earlier ferries back to tarrifa, however, you will need to arrange the tranfer yourself. If you opt to stay in the Continental Hotel then this is just a short walk away from the ferry terminal.
Guided tours can be given in English, German, French and Spanish.
*Please note that there is a 10 Euros supplement for adults and 5 Euros supplement for children for trips in July and August. There is also a single person suplement 12 Euros extra
This excursion runs every day of the year including Christmas and New Year. The fast ferry crossings that relate to the tours leave at 9am, 11am and also 1pm. You will need to be at the ferry at least 30 minutes before. To reserve this trip you will need to pay 20% of the cost of the tickets now and then the balance is payable at Tarifa Port where you will collect your tour pass.
